Reunion Update – June 9, 2022
OH SO CLOSE
The menus are planned. The space is paid for and a DJ has been hired. WE ARE SO CLOSE! All of the food orders have been calculated around 200 attendees (which has been reduced from 300). Right now, we are at 158. IF we get 42 more people, we will NOT have to cut back and, with great transparency, the cut will come on food.
A friendly reminder - the reunion is 9 weeks away as of tomorrow! IF you want to get a room in the Lafayette Classes of 1971 and 1972 50th Reunion block, you have until JULY 12 to do so. At that time, remaining rooms will be released to the general public and the base rate of $159 will go away.
The major events - a cocktail party on August 12 and a buffet/dance on August 13 will occur at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort. A golf outing and a band luncheon are planned. Check the website and the band Facebook page for details.
Chris Crowe has 10 Tee times for August 12 at Golf club of the Bluegrass . The first tee time is at 10:16 am and you can contact Chris at cmcrowe10@yahoo.com.
The price of $125 per person (flat fee for both nights) will remain in effect until JULY 29, 2022. All of the food numbers have to be sent to the Marriott that day.
WE NEED MEMORBILIA – there are tables to fill with it on Friday night. Please contact Suzanne Leibee (sleibee58@gmail.com) with the items you are bringing. Be sure to label them well. There have been some charming stories and photos showing up on Facebook.
Please let us know if you have music requests- Kim Machmer Gorman is the only person who has sent requests so, right now, we are listening to her play listJ.
